Domus Public Eldora Sandbox Inauguration.

As a service to new Second Life® Residents Domus Rentals & Real Estate™ inaugurated past 09.9.2009 a Free Public Sandbox in Sansara (the first Second Life® Continent) in the beautiful Sim of Eldora.

The Domus Eldora Public Sandbox has an area of 8192 m2 and supports 1875 prims and is a Newbie's Friendly Area.

The Domus Eldora Public Sandbox has a 4 hours auto cleanup giving Newbie's more than enough time to Start Learning How to build and Veterans to Build, Test and Improve their creations.

Considering the 4 hours auto cleanup it's advisable to periodically "save" a copy of your creations to your inventory.

Damage and Pushing are disabled to avoid any potential Griever temptation ;)

Selling, Begging, Spamming, Solicitation, and Harassing are forbidden.

How does it work?

Easy, buy all the land you want during the Weekend (starts Saturday at 00:00 and ends Sunday at 23:59, all times are Second Life® in-world time), the following Tuesday Curtius Janus will pay you back 3,5% of the total of your purchases! That simple :)

Example:

Saturday at 09:00 you bought a parcel for L$ 45.000

Saturday at 15:00 you bought another parcel for L$ 55.000

You spent Saturday's afternoon setting you new property :)

Sunday at 23:15 you realized that you'd like to have a larger property and bought another parcel for L$ 35.000.

You Bought 3 parcels adding up to L$ 135.000 during the same Weekend.

Monday We'll check our records and Tuesday Curtius Janus will pay your Avatar 3,5% of L$ 135.000 that is L$ 4725 :)

Domus™ - LuxusVillae™ New HQ in Second Life®

Welcome to our new Headquarters in-world.

We recently moved to a new HQ, it's still being finished but we'll be honored with your visit.

Our old HQ in Morestello was becoming too small and crowded so we Moved to a new and larger building in a spectacular Sim - Spirit Witch. Catchy name isn't it :)

Soon you'll find all our specialty vendors there as well as an improved information desk.

Buying or Renting is an important decision so we now have a big garden outside with benches to you to relax and think while enjoying the view and listening to the music.

New developments of the HQ will be blogged soon.

Land is the most important thing in Second Life®.

Without land:

You don't have a sense of "belonging",

You don't have a place to build your DREAM, be it a Palace, a Castle, a Mansion, a Forest, whatever :)

Second Life® is all this and much more, but you need land! :)

Some of it is more suited to a Castle, some to a Beach Paradise or a Cabin in a Snowy Mountain, but one thing is sure; you'll always find the perfect property! :)

How to Buy or Rent Land in Second Life®

If the property is in the “Mainland” you must have a Premium account to buy it.The good news is that even without a Premium account you could always rent this property :)

A Premium account has many advantages; you receive a signup bonus of L$1000 and a weekly stipend of L$300 from Linden Labs, a 512 sq. m. land allowance, access to Linden Labs Premium support, etc. Check the Membership Plans page.

“Mainland” has lots of advantages over Estates (the so called islands); let’s see:There’s No Covenant whatsoever nor zoning, that means that you are completely free to do with your land whatever you want, you can build a home or a shop, you can build at any height whatever kind of building you want, you can build a shop in the ground and a skybox at any altitude.There’s No recurring payments to us, when you buy the land it becomes yours and your name as the new proprietor will appear instantly in the “About Land” screen. The transaction will be completed and we’ll not ask you for anything more.You can resell the land at any price whenever you want to whomever you want; after all it’s your land :)You’ll have complete power over your property; you can terraform/landscape it, put up barriers so no one else can enter without you permission, change the music and media channels, etc.

To buy it simply right-click the land (or the water if it’s an ocean property :) and choose “About Land”, then click in the Buy Land button.Don’t have enough Linden™ Dollars? No problem, when you try to buy and don’t have enough cash in your account the system will offer you the way to by more L$.Also, Linden™ Dollars (L$) can always be bought and sold at Second Life's Linden Dollar Exchange.

To rent simply right-click the small black box with the Golden Domus™ Logo and follow the instructions.Renting term is per week, but you can rent for several weeks at once (up to 4) so you’ll don’t have to worry to remember the rent every week :)After renting (paying the box :) you’ll be added to the group that owns the land so you can build on it and change some of the land settings.Usually you will receive an invitation for the group in the next 8 hours. If for any reason you don’t, kindly IM one of the Managers listed bellow.
